The 2015 Island Arts Council Poetry Slam season will continue at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 at the Freeland Cafe.

Celebrate Life with Poetry will be lead by Conductor of Fun Jim Freeman and Hostess of Fun Petite Bryant-Hunt.

No poetic experience is required, but fun is guaranteed as they celebrate poetry, as well as the birthdays of Barry Manilow, Dean Martin and the anniversary of the Watergate arrests.

Free gifts from Freeman’s shed will be distributed to those in attendance.

Additional prizes will be given to participants writing and reading their poems, created on-the-spot, with words suggested by the audience.
