Port commissioners to review project funding

The Port of South Whidbey will hold a regular meeting Tuesday to discuss updates for South Whidbey Harbor, Possession Beach and funding. Commissioners will discuss a resolution establishing agreements for grant funding.

The Port of South Whidbey will hold a regular meeting Tuesday to discuss updates for South Whidbey Harbor, Possession Beach and funding.

Several groups made applications for funds from the port including Island Beach Access for website development, Whidbey Island Conservation District for advertising and promotion of the Whidbey Island Farm Tour, South Whidbey Assembly of God for portable toilets during Celebrate America, Orca Network for the Langley Whale Center, Clinton Chamber of Commerce for the Clinton Thursday Market, Clinton Progressive Association for promotion of Mayfest and the Greater Freeland Chamber of Commerce for tourism brochures.

Updates will be given on the South Whidbey Harbor expansion project, Possession Beach boat ramp renovation and cell tower permit, along with general operations.

Prior to the meeting, a workshop will begin at 7:15 p.m. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11 at the South Whidbey Parks and Recreation District, 5475 Maxwelton Road, Langley.
