Port of South Whidbey commissioners are changing the time of their regular monthly meetings.

The board’s next meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14 in the meeting room of the South Whidbey Parks & Rec office at 5475 Maxwelton Road. Previously, meetings began an hour later at 7:30 p.m.

The change was made at the board’s June 9 meeting. It had been discussed previously as a way to make the meeting more convenient for the public and the board. Several members of the public had also requested the earlier start time.

Commissioners Jack Ng, Ed Halloran and Curt Gordon approved the resolution by unanimous decision.
