The KSER Foundation invites the public to provide input on how a new independent public radio station, 89.9 KXIR-FM, can best serve the North Puget Sound when it launches later this year.
A number of community forums are scheduled. For islanders, the most convenient are at the Mukilteo Public Library, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., April 2; and the Oak Harbor Public Library, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., April 3. For those unable to attend a community forum, an online survey is available at www.kxir.org until May 31.
The nonprofit KSER Foundation currently serves the North Puget Sound with 90.7 KSER-FM, an independent public radio station in Everett. KSER offers local news, information and a wide range of cultural, educational and music programs. As a forum for diverse community voices and views in Snohomish and Island counties, KSER sponsors the annual Voice of the Community Award.
