Filling former Public Works director Challis Stringer’s shoes has proven quite a task for Langley.

The city is still on the hunt for her replacement, though tasks are being finished by Public Works under interim director Ryan Goodman, who is serving on a part-time basis.

Langley officially posted the position June 12. Mayor Fred McCarthy redefined the office and removed its mayoral assistant duties from the job. The mayor reinstated the explicit qualifications of grant writing to the job posting.
