“It’s the boat that just won’t behave.On Friday night, the now locally famous tugboat Seaway 10 broke loose from its latest mooring in Shilshole Bay and ran aground on the bay’s shore. The derelict tug visited South Whidbey on Nov. 27 when it floated into Useless Bay and ran aground after breaking free of the navigation buoy it was tied to in Shilshole Bay. The Army Corps of Engineers towed the tug out of Useless Bay five days later to return it to Shilshole.Patricia Graesser, a spokeswoman for the Army Corps, said Tuesday that the Seaway 10 broke loose from a 100-foot mooring cable in high winds Thursday night. The boat is now in a secure area at the Chittenden Locks in Ballard. It will not get away again.We’ve got it corralled, Graesser said.The Corps and Coast Guard had determined at the end of November that the vessel presented a potential hazard to navigation. The boat had been abandoned in Shilshole Bay. The Corps is still trying to find out who owns the boat. If it cannot, it will sell the Seaway 10 in a public auction. “
