SHERIFF’S REPORT | An “out of control” man, a subject in the water and a fence mover

The following are 9-1-1 reports from the Island County Sheriff’s Office, South Precinct. Friday, January 16 10:18 a.m. — A caller on East Harbor Road reported a case of fraud. The caller received a letter from H&R Block stating she owned money due to a collections case and identity theft.

Friday, January 16

10:18 a.m. — A caller on East Harbor Road reported a case of fraud. The caller received a letter from H&R Block stating she owned money due to a collections case and identity theft.

11:05 a.m. — A caller asked for information about a former Clinton resident who is currently working at their casino in Oklahoma. They believe he may be a registered sex offender and have warrants for his arrest.

1:47 p.m. — A caller at Ken’s Korner said someone just threatened to come and shoot him.

7:36 p.m. — A caller at Ken’s Korner just caught a subject shopping for alcohol with minors.

9:49 p.m. — A caller on Pheasant Farm Lane advised someone wrecked their car in front of his house. A male voice on the line was yelling “Send the police, send an ambulance. Gotta go, bye.” The caller got very angry with the operator for asking questions and disconnected.

11:45 p.m. — A caller on Maxwelton Road and Highway 525 very calmly said he needs someone to pick him up and take him to jail. The caller stated he is out of control and has a warrant.

Saturday, January 17

9:54 a.m. — A caller at Clinton Beach Place reported a truck went off wheeling in a drainage ditch area next to caller’s house and the vehicle is now stuck.

11:52 a.m. — A caller on Honeymoon Lake Drive said the sheriff’s office has been investigating mail theft in her area, and she wanted to report that Lynnwood police contacted her this month saying they had arrested someone with her mail.

2:27 p.m. — A caller on Fish Road advised that someone was shooting a gun in Misty Meadows for the past 10 minutes — at least 25 shots.

Sunday, January 18

1:24 p.m. — A caller on Smugglers Cove Road and South Whidbey State Park reported a subject in the water at the bottom of the stairs, laying in the water, not moving. The subject did put their hand up when callers shouted at the person.

2:24 p.m. — A caller at a Bayview grocery store reported that six to seven adult occupants bought beer in the store, were seen drinking it in the parking lot and passing it around a bright red minivan.

6:41 p.m. — A caller on Bush Point Road rents her home, but there is a skateboard ramp in the garage that her landlord’s son told people they can use. She said subjects are there now being a problem and being loud.

Monday, January 19

9:22 a.m. — A caller on Holst Road reported an ongoing issue with a neighbor who is pulling up the caller’s fence posts and installing new fence posts two feet onto the caller’s property.
