The South Whidbey School Board is expected to approve the adoption of new social studies textbooks at the board’s business meeting this week.

Also at the meeting, Miriam Coates will give a presentation on Whidbey Island Nourishes, and Rob Prosch, Frank Rose and Martha Murphy will talk about the “Arts in Education” program.

The board will also get a financial update from Dan Poolman, the district’s business and finance director.

The meeting is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 in the board room at the South Whidbey Primary Campus.
