The Whidbey Island Conservation District will hold its annual open house next month.
The event is from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 at the Coupeville Library, 788 N.W. Alexander St. Time for networking and refreshments begins at 4 p.m. An awards presentation for outstanding cooperators and partners begins at 4:30 p.m. followed by an overview of the budget and work plan for fiscal year 2016.
The open house is a chance for the public to learn more about the district, meet staff and supervisors, and join in honoring the accomplishments of several island residents, according to a recent news release announcing the open house.
