The Whidbey Island Association of Realtors (WIAR) announced its 2015 annual award recipients.

Surveyor Jerry Morrison, TMI Land Surveying, Inc. was named affiliate of the year. He researched the impact and veracity of recently proposed Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) flood plain maps.

Activist Lynn Willeford was awarded citizen of the year for continuing to found many valuable, local non-profit organizations.

Jennifer Pearson of Coldwell Banker Tara Properties earned realtor of the year.

Julie Bean of Windermere received the community service award for her wide range of volunteering.

Louis Muniz was rookie of the year.
