Dolores Duffy

Dolores Patricia Duffy was born Nov. 25, 1914 in Barnsville, Minn., to parents Frank and Louise Dahm. Dolores passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 one week short of her 97th birthday.

Dolores spent most of her life in the Midwest. She graduated from St. Michael Nursing School as a registered nurse. After graduation, she moved to the Northwest to escape the snowy winters. She worked several years as a nurse in the state of Washington.

Dolores met Bernard Duffy at the Marine Hospital in Seattle and they were married June 7, 1941. Dolores and Bernard had two daughters, Jeanie and Kathleen. Kathleen died at birth.

Dolores enjoyed gardening, bingo, her trips to Reno, walking and beachcombing. She had a strong devotion to her faith and helped with many church functions.

Dolores is survived by her daughter, Jeanie; grandsons Sean and Jeff (Jessica) Roberts; and her seven great-grandchildren, Clarice, Bethany, Cole, Brianne, Jacob, Carver and Cyler.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Langley.
