Kathleen Schumacher

Kathleen was truly one of a kind.

Kathy Schumacher was born on Sept. 22, 1952 in Seattle to Kathleen and Warren Schumacher. She left us peacefully April 5, 2011.

During her years at Christ the King, Forest Ridge and Lone Mountain College, she could be found in the thick of planning mischief.

Known for her exceptional wit and generosity, she brought laughter and insight to all she touched.

Kathy loved her family, vast circle of friends, and her cats. Ruby, as some fondly knew her, found peace in her kayaking and windsurfing. Driftwood was her delight, which she crafted into treasures. She stayed buoyant in life’s troubled waters and reached out to others in need.

Proud of her alliance with the Whidbey Island Eagles, her tireless work as an aide to disabled adults and of her friends, her home and heart were always open.

Kathy is predeceased by her loving mother Kit Kamins and father Warren Schumacher.

She is survived by her brother Don Schumacher and her stepbrother Kirt Kamins.

“Bye Buddy,” you will be deeply missed.
