Marel Hauge Fabian who was born to Lee and Patricia Hauge, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 12, 2018. Marel was born Feb. 23, 1958. Marel leaves behind her husband Ralph and three sons Gavin, Brock and Spencer. She also leaves behind two daughters-in-law, Christina (married to Gavin) and Adrianna (married to Brock) as well as two precious granddaughters Hadley and Lynnea. Marel and Ralph were high school sweethearts who grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Following their graduation from college, Marel and her husband raised three wonderful children in Mission Viejo, Calif. Marel was the greatest friend, wife and mother in the world who was dedicated to her family and three boys. Every year the family would spend their summers making memories at their favorite place in the world, Whidbey Island. Ten years ago, Marel and Ralph purchased a home on Maxwelton Beach and began splitting their time between their home in Orange County and the island. Everyone who met Marel knew her to be extremely generous, funny, a great listener and one who loved to entertain. To her husband, she was a best friend, soul mate and his princess since they were 16.

A celebration of her life will be held with family and friends at their home on Whidbey Island Aug. 19. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Cheer Food Bank.
