Wanda Marie Simmons

Wanda Marie Simmons passed away on Nov. 22, 2005 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born April 15, 1949. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School and Shoreline Community College. She worked at Shoreline college as a secretary for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ozella Simmons, also a victim of cancer.

She is survived by her father Henry, and stepmother Irene, of Seattle; two brothers, Craig Simmons of Seattle and Roger Simmons of Clinton; nephew Jacob Simmons and niece Kelsey Simmons, both of Clinton; as well as numerous other relatives on South Whidbey.

Wanda’s father and mother spent much of their time caring for her the past three years.

Wanda enjoyed many good times at her parent’s summer cabin on Deer Lake. She was very close to her brothers and spent countless hours with Craig, who has Down’s Syndrome. Craig meant the world to her. She had a deep love for nephew, Jacob, and niece, Kelsey. They miss her very much.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Seattle.
