Wilson Jeanette

Jeanette A. Wilson made her peaceful departure from the loving arms of her children Saturday, May 20 in Coupeville.

Born April 21, 1918 to Ira and Iris Collier in Moscow, Idaho she soon moved with the family to Seattle where her father took a position with the University of Washington as a professor of engineering.

In 1940 Jeanette graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in pharmacy and soon married William Crawford and started her family. She raised four children in north Seattle while working in the pharmacy at Fircrest School. She was also an active member of Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Later Jeanette retired from Fircrest and moved to Whidbey Island to be near her children and grandchildren.

Jeannette is survived by her brother Leonard (Ted) Collier and his wife Mary. She also leaves behind her four children, Dave Crawford and wife Diane, Joan Crawford and wife Rachel, Jan Crawford, and Sue Gordon and husband Curt, along with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Grandma was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle.
