South Whidbey girls basketball continued its hot start to the 2015-16 season with a 69-53 victory over Cedar Park Christian on Tuesday night at South Whidbey High School.

South Whidbey improved to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Cascade Conference play.

The Falcons had three players who scored in double digits, led by sophomore Kolby Heggenes’ 21 points.

Falcon junior Kacie Hanson was second in scoring with 15, while junior Kinsey Eager contributed 14 points.

The Falcons led by just five points after the first quarter when their offense exploded in the second. South Whidbey outscored Cedar Park Christian 31-15 in the second quarter to take a 21-point lead into halftime.

South Whidbey was outscored 15-9 in the third quarter but narrowly managed to outscore the Eagles in the fourth 13-12.

The Falcons will play Friday Harbor on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 1:30 p.m. on the road before returning home to face La Conner at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21.
