Well, if you can visualize the images, the Mudder’s here for you again.

Last year, more than 275 mountain-bike racing fans jammed the Mudder’s 5.6-mile course off Coles Road in Langley. Organizers expect mountain bikers from all over the Northwest to flock to Whidbey Island to celebrate the Mudder’s 10th year of mountain-bike racing.

Part of the regional Indie Series, the Mudder attracts regional riders to its cross-country course that features everything from tight and twisty single-track to fast and open descents.

The action begins at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 17 and runs until the final rider crosses the finish line. The event appeals to all age groups, and is widely considered to be one of the most family-friendly rides around.

“Thanks to Cozy’s Tavern, Heggenes Arboreal and Mukilteo Coffee, this will be one of our best years ever,” said organizer Matt Hickman.

Riders of all ages and ability levels can register for the day-long event that comes complete with music, food, cash awards and fun. For details, call Hickman at 425-308-1999.
