Lots of Little Leaguers will swarm South Whidbey this summer.

South Whidbey Little League was selected to host the District 11 9/10-year-old All-Star tournament. Six other leagues are in the district with South Whidbey.

“It benefits our league directly through added concessions as well as giving our team a fun, home field boost,” said Jeff Daly, president of South Whidbey Little League.

The tournament will consist of 13 games spread over seven days from June 29 to July 5. Volunteers are needed to manage the scorebook, announce, pitch count/scoreboard operation (remote control from the comfort of the scorer’s booth) and several people to help with concessions.
