The Falcons celebrated their six seniors with a pre-game ceremony that fueled a quick start. South Whidbey broke from a 6-6 tie in the first set and rattled off six unanswered points before winning 25-9.

The second set followed a similar trajectory. South Whidbey jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never lost its edge, claiming the set 25-12.

Sultan found its footing in the third set, fighting to a 13-13 tie before the Falcons pushed ahead to win 25-18.

South Whidbey senior Anne Madsen led the Falcons with 10 kills and two blocks, and senior Abby Hodson had nine kills, two blocks and three aces. Katherine Read, the Falcons’ junior setter, recorded 28 assists and six aces.
