LANGLEY – The South Whidbey softball team was three outs away from beating Cedarcrest on Monday afternoon.

Going into the seventh inning, the Falcons had a 4-1 lead and their ace pitcher Alex Kubeska had retired the previous six Red Wolves batters without allowing a runner on base. A few walks, a bases-clearing double and four runs later, and the Red Wolves had snatched the lead 5-4.
