Richard Eugene Grimm

Dick was born to Chester and Arlene Grimm on March 22, 1944, in Concordia, Kan.

Dick passed away at the Mount Vernon hospital Feb. 19, 2016.

Dick’s family moved to Whidbey Island when he was a senior in high school. He graduated in 1962 from Langley High School.

Dick served in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Vietnam for 18 months.

He married Barbara Thompson Grimm on Jan. 4, 2014.

He his survived by his wife Barbara; his son Kevin Grimm; brother Dale Grimm; sister Barbara and LaDell Gilmore; Mark and Lori Thompson; and Alette and Keith Ford.

Other family survivors include his nephew Erick Grimm and niece Shelley (Josh) Hardgrove; numerous cousins; and 12 grandchildren.

He was foreman for Scott paper mill, retiring after 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Chester and Arlene Grimm; his first wife Teri Anne Grimm; and sister-in-law Lisel Grimm.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m.

Internment will be at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Hill Cemetery 409 Filbert Road, Lynwood.
