To the editor:

This is in response to a recent letter to the editor by Saranell DeChambeau, chair of the Citizens Advisory Committee, Island Transit, endorsing a candidate for Washington State Senate, 10th District.

Island Transit, as a public transportation benefit area of Island County, cannot and does not endorse candidates for public office nor permits boards or committees of Island Transit to do so. Ms. DeChambeau can personally express her opinions concerning election candidates and issues but these do not express any endorsement by Island Transit.
