To the editor:

I am honored to call Professor Patricia Terry, MBA, RN my colleague and to help elect her to the State Legislature, 10th District, Position 2. Tricia is committed to the people of the 10th District and the issues dear to our hearts.

Tricia is committed to cost- effective basic healthcare, early intervention and prevention. She has first-hand experience of the costs of healthcare to individuals and families, as well as to the state of Washington. Earning her MPA from Seattle University, she gained a working knowledge needed to make fiscally responsible policy decisions regarding the uses of our tax dollars.

Tricia has a willingness to listen to the concerns of small business owners, union workers and employers, patients and co-workers. She is a creative problem-solver and finds practical solutions to everyday problems. Tricia works tirelessly to personally meet her would-be constituents and hear their issues.

Tricia is committed to creating sustainable communities in 10th District, preserving our rural quality of life. She recognizes the limited carrying capacity of island life, the burden our economy has placed on both workers and small business owners, and understands the need to develop businesses and green jobs that can thrive on an island while preserving the delicate ecosystems that sustain us.

Tricia is a woman of integrity and intelligence dedicated to your financial and physical well-being. Visit her Web site, www.patriciaterry.org, and put a nurse in the House.
