Flights to resume at OLF

Flight operations will resume at Outlying Landing Field Coupeville next month. In a news release from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, the Navy warned residents in Coupeville and near the flight field to anticipate more jet noise. Pilots will conduct field carrier landing practice to prepare for upcoming deployments of aircraft carriers.

Flight operations will resume at Outlying Landing Field Coupeville next month.

In a news release from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, the Navy warned residents in Coupeville and near the flight field to anticipate more jet noise. Pilots will conduct field carrier landing practice to prepare for upcoming deployments of aircraft carriers.

“EA-6B and EA-18G flight operations for both Ault Field and OLF Coupeville are planned to be consistent with the 2005 Environmental Assessment for the EA-18G, with annual operations projected at 6,120 flight operations at OLF Coupeville,” the news release stated.

Flight schedules will be released weekly.
