Island County Public Works expects road work aimed at improving drainage on Surf Paradise Drive in Greenbank to begin this week.

The construction includes an installation of an outfall that will have shoreline discharge and alleviate prior drainage issues. Work is expected to wrap up within three weeks.

Surf Paradise Drive has one particular area of the bluff that has seen stormwater runoff cause ongoing erosion of the road.
