Christina Marie Conklin: November 10, 1975 – April 24, 2022

Christina Mary Conklin was born November 10 th 1975, in Kingsville, Texas to Buster H. Conklin and Sandra M. Conklin Hurst. She passed away April 24th , 2022, at her home in Oak Harbor. Christina moved to Washington State a few days before her 3rd birthday with her Mom, Dad and sister, Donna.

Christina was born with infantile autism. She was also non-verbal and developmentally delayed. She learned to use sign language at an early age. She was involved in Special Olympics and won many ribbons in bowling, dribbling basket balls through a set of cones and track and field. She loved the water and to go to her favorite beach, Rocky Point. She loved to go camping and catch fish. She really loved balloons. Her favorite music was Rock and Roll which she also loved to dance to. She also went to spin dances. She loved hair and collected many wigs over the years to play with. She passed many hours sitting outside in the sun, watching the birds and she loved to go for walks, rides and make cookies.

Christina worked outside the home delivering newspapers and at the animal thrift shop in Oak Harbor before it moved to its present location.

Christina was proceeded in death by her brother Michael H. Conklin, Grandparents, Beatrice Ramsell, George Ramsell, Lois Hurst, John Hurst, Beth Conklin, Harry Conklin, Cousin Tabithia Stoddard, Aunts Regina and Cindy Hurst as well as Uncle Richard Hurst, and her Aunt Baleen Conklin. Christina is survived by her parents, Buster and Sandra Conklin, her sister Donna Conklin Schmidt, nieces Katherine Cypse, Kimberly Schmidt, Everleigh Aillaran, and nephew Caleb Schmidt and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

We love you so very much Christina and always will

We will think of you often and hold you in our hearts

One day, we will be together again.

We will celebrate Christina’s life on Friday, May 6 th , 2022, at 3pm at:
