Stacey Bakula

May 9, 1969 – March 26, 2014

Stacey battled a neurodegenerative disease for over 20 years, managing to live, for the most part, vibrantly and courageously despite an initial prognosis that she had only months to live.

She was 23 at the time and couldn’t expect to see her 24th birthday. Next month, Stacey would have celebrated her 45th birthday!

On Wednesday morning, March 26, the disease finally got the best of her. She touched everyone she encountered in a deeply meaningful way. Her smile, her laugh, her outspoken and irreverent voice are all things that we who loved her will miss, but her spirit will be with us forever. She called us all to deep authenticity and the fullness of our being.

A celebration of Stacey’s life will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at The Roaming Radish, 5023 Harbor Hills Drive (Holmes Harbor), Freeland.

Andy Grenier and Rebecca Cleary invite all who wish to come share memories of Stacey to join us in celebrating the miracle that she was and continues to be.
